Donations - Thank you for Asking!
Gifts to Community Outreach are always welcome, and received with gratitude and
prompt acknowledgement. Gifts are tax deductible to the full extent allowed
by current tax law. You can view our donor's Bill of Rights.
Ways to Give
-
Write a check. Make your check payable to Community Outreach and mail it to us
at 865 NW Reiman, Corvallis, OR 97330, or better yet, come by and see the
facility and ask for a tour. If someone is available we take great pride in
showing you what we are able to do here.
-
Electronic withdrawal from
your checking account. To
sign up, complete our
one-page Automatic
Withdrawal of Funds form.
You will need to print out
the form, complete the
fields, sign it, and enclose
a voided check. Send in the
completed form to Community
Outreach and your donation
will automatically be
withdrawn from your checking
account.
- Charge your credit card. To make a donation on line go through our secure
partner, Network for Good.
You will receive a tax acknowledgement of your gift from them, and the money
will be automatically credited to our checking account. They notify us promptly
of the gift and you will receive a "thank you!" note from us, to assure you
that we received your donation.
-
Transfer appreciated securities. This is a wonderful way to receive a
significant tax benefit and provide Community Outreach with a generous
donation. Have your broker contact Bill Mercer, at Edward Jones here in
Corvallis at 541-752-1449. His office can help with the sale and transfer into
our account. Unless you wish to remain anonymous, be sure to contact us about
your intentions so we can appropriately acknowledge when the gift is received
and provide you with tax information and our thanks.
-
Ask us to bill you for a pledged amount. Send us an email or letter, detailing
the full amount of your pledge and the monthly/quarterly or annual amount you
would like us to remind you of.
-
Set up a monthly pledge online. This is easy to do through our secure partner,
Network for Good. You will receive a tax acknowledgement of your gift
from them each time a deduction is made against your credit card, and the money
will be automatically credited to our checking account. They notify us promptly
of the gift and you will receive a "thank you!" note from us, to assure you
that we received your donation.
-
Make an honorary or Memorial gift. These are invited and appreciated. You will
receive an acknowledgement as will the recipient of your good will.
-
Contribute to our endowment. Community Outreach maintains a permanently
restricted endowment. Earnings from the endowment are used to fund current
operations. You may contribute in any of the ways described above. Let us know
you wish the gift to go into the endowment. We will ask you to complete an
endowment form so we have a permanent record of your intentions. We will send
you an acknowledgement for your tax records. Our endowment is invested only in
socially responsible funds.
-
Donate through a life insurance policy. Donors can contribute a life insurance
policy to Community Outreach in several ways. You may assign a paid up policy
to us as owner; naming us as primary or successor beneficiary. You may also
donate a policy on which premiums remain to be paid then make annual gifts to
cover the premium due.
-
Establish a Gift Annuity. Community Outreach is pleased to work with donors and
their advisors on planned gift arrangements. These may include gifts made
through trusts, gift of retirement funds, and bequests. A planned gift can
provide essential long-term resources to our agency while offering donors,
and/or their heirs, significant tax benefits and greater control of their
assets.
-
Remember us in your will. Individuals or couples who have included Community
Outreach, Inc. in their wills are encouraged to inform us, so that we may
acknowledge and honor their generosity in their lifetimes. Sample bequest
language is available through us for donors and their advisors to ensure a
bequest is properly designated.
